Privacy laws have stopped the operator of the collapsed Arthur's Seat chairlift apologisingto victims of the disabled tourist attraction.

The chairlift on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula is likely to be closed for at leastsix months after one of its pylons crashed to the ground on January 3.
