Fed: Aust considering further action for NPT breaches

CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Australia may pursue ways to take action against countries which
violate and then withdraw from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT).

The federal government has taken a number of steps to reinvigorate debate on nuclear
disarmament issues ahead of the review in 2010 of the NPT, aimed at limiting the spread
of nuclear weapons.
